TOWBAR FITTING IN SUSSEX

We are a family run business operating from our Unit on the Martlets Trading Estate in Goring West Sussex.
We supply and install towbars manufactured by leading brands such as Tow-Trust, Brink, Oris and PCT.

These towbars are designed to the highest standards for all types of vehicles. We can also supply and fit vehicle specific wiring kits from Conwys and ECS which integrate with the vehicles’ systems, also coding the vehicle if required.

We recommend that you have your towbar fitted in plenty of time before you intend to tow, and always test your trailer or caravan with the new towbar before you need to use it.

THE SWAN NECK

The swan neck towbar is another fixed towbar. Some customers may prefer the look of a swan neck as it is less bulky. As the neck is narrower than the flange towbar, it is less likely to trigger reverse parking aids. The swan neck towbar can also be used with an Al-Ko stabiliser without the need for modification. The swan neck can only be used with clamp on cycle carriers.

THE FIXED FLANGE

The fixed flange towbar is the most commonly used type of towbar in this country – where the tow ball is bolted to the towbar. The fixed flange is the most versatile design of towbar as it can be used with towball mounted accessories, such as cycle carriers and bumper protectors. An extended towball will be required when using an Al-Ko stabiliser. The fixed flange is generally the most reasonably priced option too.

THE FULLY DETACHABLE

The fully detachable towbar looks the same as a fixed swan neck when fitted. The main advantage of the fully detachable towbar is that the neck is easily removed when not required, leaving very little, or in some cases none, of the towbar on view. The swan neck is the most popular design, but there are now flange type detachable towbars available for some cars.
